Device for radar systems control

The purpose and range of application

Control console for radar complex is designed for control of radar complex operation, processing and displaying of data of active and passive radar channels.

Both active or separate passive radar channels, and combined operation of channels are available.

Control console provides the following:

  • Initial start and test of computing system of the complex
  • Loading of operation software and setting up of the assigned state of the complex
  • Radar devices control
  • Interaction with external systems through code and relay channel
  • Generation and displaying of image on data carrier
    • Active channel — all-round surveillance, on scale 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256 miles of precision coordinates of fixed range rings, graduate scale, ship heading line and digital value of heading, target log books, etc.
    • Passive channel — panoramic target detection, accurate bearing, summary target log book classification
  • Generation and displaying of electronic control panels with electronic buttons and dialog windows
  • Intersection with physical control panel
  • Generation and storage of target database.

Control console is represented as a local area network Ethernet with 4 computers with open architecture:

  • Computer 1 — provides receiving and processing of data of active channel of the radar complex, displaying information as well as its storage and software into other complex’s computers.
  • Computer 2 — provides receiving and processing of data of passive channel of the complex, displaying information as well as storage of database, documenting of information.
  • Computer 3 — provides relay exchange control with external systems as well as Human-Machine interface by interaction with electronic and physical radar panels.
  • Computer 4 — provides code exchange control with external systems as well as interaction with electronic control panel of the Radar.
  • All computers have processor modules, memory and interface devices.

Control compartment

  • Set of physical control panel:
    • Digital keyboard;
    • Keys for enter and control (additional keys can be used in customer's option);
    • Trackball with 3 buttons (diameter of ball is 50,8 mm, resolution of 203 impulse/revolution);
    • Control components ВАРУ and РРУ.
  • Protection is provided against Operator's unauthorized operation.

External interfaces

  • Ethernet;
  • RS-232 (EIA RS-232-D) - 4 channels with full galvanic separation;
  • Backup multiplex channel of inter-module data exchange in accordance with GOST 26765.52-87 (MIL-STD-1553B);
  • Relay exchange channels with signal intensity from 3 up to 30 V DC with 80 I/O count and full galvanic separation.

  • 3 phase 400 Hz 220 V

  • Console cabinet БНК-3. External connectors are placed on the upper cover. Quantity and type of connectors can be chosen in Customer’s option. Device has two front panels which are placed on the upper cover and on console. Console has also electronic control panels of active radar as well as of passive radar.
  • Forced cooling is not required.
  • Weight – not more than 200 kg.
  • Dimensions 544х2772х2264 mm.

  • According to the operation groups 2.1.1, 2.2.1, 1.7 of GOST В20.39 304-76.

  • Power supply is also available from 3 phase 50 Hz 220 V or 170-320 V or 27 V;
  • Adaptation to any external systems is also possible (both digital and analog ones);
